**HOT Recipe of the Day**~~~Rocking Oatmeal Cookies~~~

Ingredients
1 ½ c All Purpose Flour
1 tsp Baking Soda
1 tsp Ground Cinnamon
¼ tsp Nutmeg
½ tsp Salt
2 sticks of butter (room temperature)
1 c firmly packed Brown Sugar
½ c granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
3 c Oats
1 c raisins or semi-sweet chocolate chips
Directions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. In a medium bowl, mix flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt. In a large bowl mix together butter and sugars with an electric mixer until creamy. Add flour mixture;mix well. Stir in oats.
Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes. Move to a wire rack. Cool completely.
Brown Butter Glaze (optional)1 ½ c All Purpose Flour

½ c butter
3 c powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla
3 to 4 tbsp water
Directions
In a small saucepan, heat butter over medium heat until golden brown. Remove from heat; stir in 3 cups of sifted powdered sugar and 1 tsp of vanilla. Stir in enough water (3 to 4 tbsp) to make an icing of drizzling consistency. Yield: enough for 5 dozen cookies.
